Welcome to the John Davison State Farm Insurance Agency! I’ve been a State Farm Agent since 1986 and a lifelong resident of Ravenna, and what keeps me going after nearly four decades is helping neighbors protect their property and their families when the unexpected happens.

I’m a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Rotary Club and the Ravenna Elks Club. Over the years, I’ve also coached high school basketball and served on several local boards and committees, which has kept me closely connected to this community I call home.

My wife Debbie and I have been married for 51 years, and our family has grown to include three adult daughters and eight grandchildren, ranging in age from 18 to 5. When I’m not in the office, you’ll usually find me golfing or cheering on my grandkids at their activities.

That same family-first mindset carries into my work, where I’ve spent 39 years helping customers with Auto insurance, Home insurance, and Life insurance, whether they’re protecting a first car, a family home, or preparing for the future.

Our office is conveniently located here in Ravenna, and we proudly serve all of Portage County, with additional pockets of business in Summit County and Mahoning County. While we offer virtual and at-home appointments, I prefer meeting customers in person whenever possible to build real relationships and provide the kind of service I’d expect for my own family.

Safety is also important to me, which is why I support State Farm’s Distracted Driving Awareness efforts. Distracted driving is preventable, yet it increases crash risk fast. Research shows that taking your eyes off the road for just two seconds can double your crash risk, and texting while driving is associated with a much higher likelihood of a serious safety event. Simple steps like enabling Do Not Disturb while driving, setting navigation and music before you go, or safely pulling over if you need to respond can make a real difference.
